Current Project: Does your electric bill add up?

This research identifies discrepancies in your electric bill. Utilities supporting the Green Button standard often do not check the data files for consistency and integrity. For instance, your 60-minute interval usage for the month may not add up to the total billed kilowatt-hours, suggesting over-billing or under-billing. This project identifies discrepancies and anomalous values from your account in order to help ratepayers and ensure that utilities are providing accurate information.
